$100 Price Drop on PlayStation 3 (80GB Motorstorm Pack) and Get 7 Free Blu-ray Discs

Sony just announced it has cut the price of the 80GB PlayStation 3 by $100 (from $599 to $499). The 80GB PlayStation 3 comes with Motorstorm. The 60GB version (which doesn’t come with any game) now cost the same as the 80GB version and it appears that Sony doesn’t plan to cut the price of the the 60GB version and is looking to just phase it out in favor of a cheaper lower-end 40GB version. The 40GB PlayStation 3 will go on sale November 2 for $399. The 40GB version will not be able to play PlayStation 2 games like the other PlayStation 3 models.
