If you haven’t heard, the latest PS3 system update added the ability to upscale PlayStation 1 games, PlayStation 2 games and DVDs to HD resolution (1080p/1080i/720p). Why is this important? Because one of the early complaints of the PS3 was that it wouldn’t upscale older PS games and DVDs. Now you can play all your old PlayStation 1 and 2 games (and all your old DVDs) in HD (which will make them look much better than on a PS2, PS1 or a regular DVD player).
