The PlayStation Store is having a Spring Sale on digital PS5 and PS4 games and DLC. There are deals on over 1000 PlayStation games and DLC (over 400 games are included in the sale). PlayStation’s Spring Sale lasts until Wednesday, April 27th 2022. Some games will be removed and new games will be added on Wednesday, April 13th 2022.

Almost a year after its release on November 12, 2020, the PlayStation 5 is still difficult to find in stock anywhere and usually sells out in seconds or minutes when it is available. If you’ve been looking to get a PS5 for retail price, but have been unsuccessful so far, you now have a chance to receive an invitation to purchase a PS5 directly from PlayStation’s website.

For the upcoming 2021 holiday season Sony will have a limited number of PlayStation 5 (PS5) consoles for customers in the United States to order from the PlayStation direct website. According to the FAQ on the page, “selection is based on previous interests and PlayStation activities.” And Quantities are limited to 1 console per PSN ID.

Sony will send out the email invitations to people that registered and have been selected starting in November 2021. If you are selected, the email invitation will include instructions on how to order the PS5 and the date and time it will be available.

Keep in mind that if you receive an invitation it is not guaranteed that you will be able to purchase a PS5 console. So even though they include an expiration time for the invitation, you should be ready to purchase at the start time if you want to make sure you reserve your PS5 before they are sold out.

If you would like to register to receive one of these email invitations for a chance to order a PS5 from PlayStation Direct all you have to do is follow the instructions below:

1. Go to https://www.playstation.com/en-us/ps5/register-to-buy/
2. Sign into your PlayStation Network (PSN) ID account (if you don’t have one you can sign up for a PSN ID on their website)
3. After you are signed in, scroll down and press the Sign Up button
4. It will say “Thank you for registering” to confirm that you have registered

Keep in mind this is just for a chance to receive an invitation and they only have a limited amount of PS5 consoles available, so not everybody that signs up and registers will receive the invitation.

At the start of March Sony made Ratchet & Clank available to download for free as part of their Play at Home program and it is still available to download on the PlayStation Store until March 31, 2021 at 11 pm ET / 8 pm PT. If you didn’t already grab Ratchet & Clank then that makes 11 games you can get for free. To continue with the Play at Home campaign, Sony will make 9 games available to download for free on March 25. This includes 5 PlayStation 4 indie games and 4 PlayStation VR games. These games will be available to download for free for a limited time from March 25 11:00 pm ET / 8:00 pm PT to April 22 11:00 pm ET / 8:00 pm PT.

The 10th game is the popular action role-playing game, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, but it won’t be available to download for free until April 19th. (Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition will be available for free download between April 19 11:00 pm ET / 8:00 pm PT and May 14 11:00 PM ET 8:00 pm PT).
